Everett William Kilzer was born 21 March 1911 at Hornick, Iowa. He graduated from Winnebago High School, Winnebago, Nebraska, in 1928. He worked at a number of jobs during the depression years. Three years after graduating from high school he enrolled at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, Nebraska, where he graduated in 1937. After graduating from the University, he moved to Omaha, where he worked for the Mobil Oil Co. He later returned to Walthill to farm and operate the General Insurance Agency. He also worked as an auditor for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and taught a G.I. Bill on-farm training class for returning World War II veterans. He has lived most of his life in Omaha and Walthill, Nebraska. He died on 2 October 1994 at Pender Community Hospital and was buried on 5 October 1994 at Evergreen Cemetery, Walthill, Nebraska.
He was married on 25 December 1938 at South Sioux City, Nebraska, to Doris Norris. She was born 23 July 1914. Doris died in 10 March 1982
