Irma I. Rueter 1919-2008 LINCOLN Irma I. Rueter, 88, of Lincoln, formerly of North Platte and Hayes County, died April 10, 2008, in Lincoln. Irma Bricker Rueter was born Nov. 3, 1919, in Crete to Herbert and Lulu Yant Bricker, and later moved south of Wauneta to a farm with her family when she was two years old. When she was five, she attended country school one-half mile from her home. Later she attended Wauneta High School where she was a member of the graduating class of 1938. Irma was baptized into the Methodist faith at the Methodist Church in Wauneta. On April 15, 1941, Irma was united in marriage to Alvin E. Rueter <http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=10619790>. They began their marriage on a farm northeast of Wauneta. This marriage was blessed with two daughters, Marilyn Kay and Janet Marie. After 47 years on the farm, Alvin and Irma retired in April 1991 and moved to North Platte. Irma was a volunteer at the North Platte hospital for 12 years. In March 2004, they moved to Lincoln. Alvin and Irma had 64 happy years of marriage before Alvin's death March 9, 2005. Survivors include two daughters, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one brother-in-law, Lawrence Rueter; two sisters-in-law, Hattie Rosetti and Lucille (Ric) Lee; and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Irma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alvin Rueter, on March 9, 2005; her parents; two brothers; six sisters; and two great-grandsons. Note: aunt

Dr. Charles L. Spence III. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery in Wauneta. A memorial has been established.Arrangements were with Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
