Frieda Feiock passed away on March 4, 2017 at the age of 96 at Hospice House. Born in Eureka, South Dakota to Gottfried & Lydia (Maisch) Schnabel, she was the oldest of 12 children, `
Frieda married Emil Feiock of Eureka, South Dakota on November 3, 1940 and together with their 5 children moved to Lodi, California in 1956, where she lived until her death. Emil and Frieda were married for 72 years. Frieda worked for 27 years for Pacific Coast Producers. Upon her retirement in 1984 she was able to enjoy being a home maker as well as doing things that she loved like gardening, sewing, canning, baking and volunteer work for the Delta Blood Bank and a Bell Ringer for the Salvation Army. She was an active member at Vinewood Community Church where she also served on the food and visitation committee. Frieda also self-taught herself about nutrition, the art of therapeutic massage and reflexology and loved to share her knowledge with anyone who crossed her path. Her favorite time was spent with family especially attending games and activities that involved her many grandchildren.
Frieda was known for her warmth and willingness to give assistance to anyone or any task that needed to be done. She radiated love and kindness to all those who knew her. It is impossible to think of her without smiling because of the joy that she contributed wherever she went.
Frieda is preceded in death by her beloved husband Emil, her grandson Mark Donahue, her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her 5 children: Shirley Lockhart (Ross)of Stockton, Robert "Bob" Feiock (Jennifer) of Lodi, Roger Feiock (Cathi) of Maple, North Carolina, Sandy Mann of Stockton, Sharon Donahue (Steve) of Stockton, brother Marvin Schnabel of Lodi, sisters Lorraine Guthmiller of St. Paul, Minnesota, Eleanor Nies of St. Paul, Minnesota, Darlene Nies of Little Canada, Minnesota and brother Jimmey Schnabel of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 9 great-great children, 4 great-great-great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, March 10, at 2pm at Vinewood Community Church, 1900 W. Vine St., Lodi. Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 9 from 12-8pm at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, Lodi.
