Neil A. Guest, 81, of Jeannette, passed away Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, in William
Penn Care Center, Penn Township. Born in Jeannette, Oct. 14, 1927, he was a
son of the late William and Catherine (Feiock) Guest. A graduate of Jeannette
High School Class of 1945, he later went on to serve in the Navy and served
during World War II. Following his service in the Navy, he attended college, and
was employed for many years by the Elliott Co., retiring as an engineer. He was a
member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, a proud member of
the Greensburg VFW Post 33 Honor Guard, Jeannette American Legion Post
344, Arlington Sportsman's Club, Deer Horn Lodge, a former member of the
Jeannette Masonic Lodge 750 F&AM, a former partner of the Trout Connection,
and a former Jeannette city councilman. Neil is survived by his wife of 58 years,
Roxy Ann (Johnson) Guest, of Jeannette; a son, Neil Guest and wife, Linda, of
North Huntingdon; two grandchildren, April Zahuranic and husband, Brian, of
Bethel Park, and Eric Guest, of North Huntingdon; a brother, William Guest and
wife, Louise, of Arizona; and several nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Family
and friends are invited to celebrate Neil's life at a graveside service at 1 p.m.
Monday in Jeannette Memorial Park with the Rev. Daniel R. Defassio officiating.
Military honors will be accorded to their fallen brother by the Greensburg VFW
Post 33 Honor Guard. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McCLURE &
JOBE FUNERAL HOME AND CREAMTION SERVICE INC., 112 N. Second St.,
