Frances Tracy
Valley Hills Funeral Home, YakimaYAKIMA - On March 24, 2008 Frances Tracy entered into heaven to be with her heavenly father. Frances was born October 24, 1932 in Venturia, North Dakota to Otto and Ida Sayler. She attended Linton High School in North Dakota where she graduated salutatorian of her class. After high school she attended nursing school in Bismarck, North Dakota. She also attended college in Jamestown, North Dakota to train as a lab technician. On March 23, 1952 Frances married Norman Tracy. Shortly after they married Frances became a school teacher in a one room school where she taught many German speaking children the English language. In 1961 Norman and Frances moved to Parker, Washington. In 1964 Norman, Frances and their three daughters moved to Terrace Heights to live in the new home they designed and built. Frances was a devoted wife and mother. Animals were her passion. She loved and took care of the many stray cats in the neighborhood. She was also an advocate of controlling the pet population. Frances is survived by her three daughters, Vicky Tracy and Norma Jean Tracy of Yakima, WA and Hollie Tracy of Eugene, OR. She is also survived by her sister, Marlys Danielson of Osceola, WI and her brothers Lyle Sayler (wife, Nancy) of White Salmon, WA and Monty Sayler (wife, Rachel) of Kirkland, WA. Also, her cherished grandsons, Beau Tracy and Nicholas Hendrickson of Yakima, WA and her great grandson, Austin Fox of Yakima, WA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Tracy, and her parents, Otto and Ida Sayler. She will be greatly missed but remembered by many. Viewing will be held Sunday afternoon March 30, 2008 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Terrace Heights. A private family ceremony will be held March 31, 2008.
