Eugene Stoebner Birth: Oct. 3, 1913 Tripp Hutchinson County South Dakota, USA Death: Oct. 26, 2005 Clear Lake Deuel County South Dakota, USA Eugene Stoebner Eugene was born on October 3, 1913 in Tripp, SD to Jacob and Magdalena (Hoff) He was baptized and confirmed in the Reformed Church of Tripp, Sd and attended school near Tripp. On December 13, 1940 he was united in marriage to Clara Bindert. They farmed northwest of Gary, SD from 1941 to 1985 when they retired and moved into Gary. Clara passed away on March 8, 1986. On March 21, 1987 Eugend was united in marriage to Erna Fuerst of Clear Lake, Sd. Following their marriage, they lived in Clear Lake, SD. On September 19, 2005, Eugene entered the Deuel County Good Samaritan Center where he passed away on October 26, 2005 at the age of 92 years and 23 days. Eugene was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, Sd. While living in the Gary area, Eugene was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served as a trustee for thirteen years. He also served as community committeeman of Deuel Count A.S.C. for ten years and served as Glenwood Township supervisor for sixteen years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Erna Stoebner, Clear Lake, SD; one step daughter, Dianne (Tom) Johnson, coon Rapids, MN; two step-sons; Norman (Karen) Bindert, Gary, SD, and Gary (Janice) Bindert of Cheyenne, WY: seven step-grandchildren, and seven great step-grandchildren. Eugene was preceded in death by his first wife, Clara; his parents; two brothers, Art and Alvin Stoebner; and one sister, Ida Stoebner.
