He married Emma Rueb November 6, 1917. She was born September 5, 1900. She was the daughter of Fredrick and Barbara Rueb. Fred was born February 18, 1855, and Barbara was born November 8 1859. They were born in Kassel, South Russia and came to America in 1884. Henry and Emma Hoff Henry was a painter. They were members of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Hoff was very involved in church work. In 1956 they moved to Sacramento, California. Mr. Hoff passed away March 22, 1964 and his wife died May 6, 1971. The Hoffs have five children who were all born in Eureka, South Dakota. Edna was born August 8, 1918. She married Albert Kusler of Artas, South Dakota September 5, 1941. They moved to Elk Grove, California. Albert died December 31, 1971. Edna married Roscoe MacDaniel, November 12, 1975. They are now living in Elk Grove, California. Oliver was born June 27, 1920. He married Patricia Starkie, September 3, 1943. They are living in Sacramento, California. They have seven children, Jeanne Marie, Patrica Ann, Michael, Dolores, Rose Mary (deceased), Paula Rose, and Kenneth Oliver and Mary. Clarence was born October 21, 1927. He married Thelma Bertsch, February 17, 1957. She was born at Greenway, South Dakota. They have one daughter, Roberta Lynn. Gladys Helen was born May 6, 1933. She moved to Elk Grove, California June 16, 1950. She married Robert Lunardi, October 18, 1952. They had four children, Judy Ann married John Neal, July 31, 1976. She died June 12, 1977. Robert Steven, married Sherrie Silver. They have three children: David married Kelly Greer, September 12, 1981; Janet was born July 19, 1957. Gladys and Bob live in Sacramento, California. Lillian Marie was born September 12, 1934. She married Edgar Haas on June 27, 1950 at Eureka, South Dakota. They had one daughter, Sharon Kay who married Ray Cook, October 12, 1971. Sharon passed away March 22, 1978, Curtis Allen was born October 12, 1952, he married Phyllis Cartrell of Portland, Oregon on May 18, 1974. They have four daughters.
