Survivors include his wife, the former Lucille Kochert; four sons, David Buechler, Palmyra, Maurice Buechler, Mitchell, Melvin Buechler, Bedford and Richard Buechler, Orleans; a daughter, Diane Whitehouse, New Salisbury; two brothers, John Buechler, Bradford and Herman Buechler, Floyds Knobs; three sisters, Geneva Smith, Starlight, Juanita Smith, Floyds Knobs and Valeria Daus, Louisville; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
