EDWARD CROCK, OF NOBLE COUNTY, IS CALLED FROM LIFE
Father of Zanesville Resident Dies in Hospital Monday
Edward Crock, 62, a well known farmer of South Olive, Noble county died at 11 o'clock Monday night in Good Samaritan hospital, after a short illness. He was admitted to the hospital Saturday in a critical condition and failed to rally to treatment.
Mr. Crock was a native of Harriettsville, Noble county. He was a member of the Catholic church at Caldwell and is survived by the following children: Mrs. Gertrude Zwick of Burkhart, Mrs. Elizabeth Rohrig, Fulda; Roman and Albert Crock of South Olive; Ernest Crock of Cedar Rapids, Ia.; Mrs. Rosa Cornet of Herron's Ridge, Noble county; Andrew Crock of Fulda; Sebastian Crock of Zanesville; Misses Lena and Alma Crock of the home. Six brothers and one sister also surviv

At the time of the 1900 census, farmer 32 year old Edward Crock lived on a farm that he owned in Enoch Twp., Noble County, Ohio with his 30 year old wife, Anna and four children: Gertrude (6), Lizzie (4), Roman (2), and Albert (10 months). None of the children were old enough to attend school.
In 1910, 42 year old Edward Crock lived in Noble County Ohio with his 40 year old wife Annie and their nine children.
In 1920, 51 year old farmer Edward Crock lived with his wife Anna (50) on a farm they owned in Enoch Twp., Noble Co., Ohio. Living with them were their children Roman J(22), Albert J. (20), Rosa M. (18), Ernest J. (16), Andrew F. (14), Clarence T. (13), Sebastine E. (11), Linus U. (9), and Alma A. (5). Andrew, Clarence, Sebastine and Linus attended school; Roman worked as a oil field pumper and Albert and Ernest worked as farm laborers. All members of the household were born in Ohio as were Edward's parents and Anna's mother. Anna's father was born in Germany.
By the time of the 1930 census, widower Edward Crock (62) had moved to a farm in Olive Township in Noble County. He lived with his two youngest children, Linus (18) and Alma (16). Only Alma attended school. Edward's son Albert lived next door.
