CLYDE MENKEL, 89, OF LEWISVILLE ROAD, WOODSFIELD, DIED MAY O1, AT
PETERSON PLACE, WHEELING. HE WAS BORN SEPT. 24, 1893 IN WOODSFIELD,
SON OF THE LATE EDWARD H. AND EMMA STEED MENKEL.
HE WAS A RETIRED EMPLOYEE OF THE STATE OF OHIO, ALSO A WORLD WAR
I VETERAN AND A MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 87 OF WOODSFIELD.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, ELOISE MANN MENKEL OF THE HOME; ONE
SON JAMES OF WOODSFIELD; ONE DAUGHTER , MRS. RICHARD HAREN, ROUTE 1,
WOODSFIELD; TWO SISTERS, MRS. ALMA HIGHMAN, LEWISVILLE, MRS. EDNA
GUSTELY, AKRON; TWO BROTHERS, EDWARD, LAS VEGAS, HAROLD OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS; THREE GRANDCHILDREN; SEVEN GREAT- GRANDCHILDREN.
FRIENDS WERE RECEIVED AT THE BAUER-TURNER FUNERAL HOME,
WOODSFIELD WERE SERVICES WERE HELD WEDNESDAY AT ONE P.M. WITH MINISTER
HARRY SUMMERS OFFICIATING. BURIAL IN OAKLAWN CEMETERY, WOODSFIELD.
THE FAMILY REQUESTS DONATIONS BE MADE TO THE AMERICAN LUNG
SOCIETY.
