  [S927] Obituary. Jacob Weisand, aged 74 years died at his home Kuhn December 27, 1916 from dropsy which disease he had been afflicted for four years and confined to his bed for 9 months. He leaves to mourn his death a widow, four sons, Adam, Alex and Dora and five daughters, Mrs. Charles Wires of Florida, A.J. Schumacher of Woods-field, Mrs. Simon Kuhn of Kuhn and Misses Lorena and Malinda of the home. The funeral was held Saturday and interment made in the Miltonsburg Catholic Cemetery "Dropsy" is short for hydropsy, which means edema or fluid retention.
