Beverly D. Burt, 66, formerly of 617 Martin St., Defiance, died on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000 at Leisure Oaks Nursing Home. She was born on Oct. 5, 1933 in Edgerton, Ohio, to Rupert and Gladys (Gallant) Fiig. She married Eugene Burt in 1957, who survives in Defiance. Also surviving are a daughter, Sandra Smith of Lacombe, La.; two sons: Charles E. Albertson of Butler, Ind., and William Burt of Jolliet, Ill; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Gwendolyn Fiig of Defiance and Sharon Siler of Delphos. Mrs. Burt was a homemaker. She was a member of Am Vets of Defiance and Al Van CB Club of Delphos. Services were held on Oct. 3 at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home in Defiance, with Paul Myers in charge. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society
