Emilie S. Liston, 80
MUNCIE - Emilie S. Liston, 80, Muncie, passed away Monday morning, January 16, 2006 at Williamsburg Village.
She was born April 15, 1925 in Chattanooga, TN, the daughter of Joseph Schuler and Madeline (Weisbecker) Schuler. Emilie graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville, KY in 1943.
She married William R. Liston on October 19, 1946 and they moved to the Muncie area in 1960.
Emilie was a homemaker whose passion was her family.
She was a very talented seamstress. Her hobbies included golf and bridge. She was active with Meals on Wheels and volunteered at Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society.
Emilie was a dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Survivors include her husband, William R. Liston; six children, Linda Jackson, (husband-Dan), Talent, OR, Michelle Rotz, Muncie, Dan Liston, (wife-Michele), Boulder, CO, Ann Pellar, (husband-Russ), Schererville, Tricia Kitchell, (husband-Dave), Ashland, OR and Kevin Liston, Longmont, CO; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Jack Schuler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Ed Kacena officiating.
Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday or after 9:00 a.m. Friday.
There will be a Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
The last eight years of her life were spent at Williamsburg Village where she was given the very best of care. The family would like to thank each of her many wonderful caregivers.
