CORYDON DEMOCRAT OBITUARY ? 02/13/1946Anthony Kochert, well known and highly respected citizen of Franklin Township, passed away last Wednesday at noon at his home in Lanesville. Death was caused from an illness of liver trouble, which he had suffered for several months. Mr. Kochert was sixty-four years of age. He was the son of the late Peter and Josephine Kochert and was born and reared in the community in which he died. The deceased was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Mr. Kochert owned and operated the Lanesville Milling Company with his sons for the past twenty-five years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Kochert, three sons and two daughters, Maurice and Paul Kochert of Lanesville, James Kochert S2c U. S Navy, Puerto Rico, Miss Ruth Kochert, Lanesville and Mrs. Pearl Engle of New Albany. He also leaves two brothers and three sisters, Peter and Frank Kochert and Miss Josephine Kochert of Lanesville, Mrs. Theresa Schellenberger of Georgetown and Sister Maxilinda of Oldenburg. Requiem mass was conducted at St. Mary?s Catholic Church at Lanesville last Friday morning by Rev. Fr. Albert Lies of Mt. St. Francis. Interment was in the church cemetery nearby.

Anthony Kochert, 64, owner of the Lanesville Milling Company, died at noon Wednesday in his home in Lanesville after a long illness. He had resided in Franklin Township his entire life. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lanesville, with burial in the church cemetery. Survivors are wife, Mrs. Bertha Kochert; sons, Maurice and Paul, Lanesville, James, U.S. Navy; daughters, Miss Ruth Kochert, Lanesville, Mrs. Pearl Engle, New Albany; brothers, Peter and Frank, Lanesville; sisters, Miss Josephine Kochert, Lanesville, Mrs. Theresa Schellenberger, Georgetown, Sister Maxilinda, Oldenburg.
