Garrett, Alma A. Garrett, nee Lumbatis

SUMMERFIELD--Funeral services for Mrs. Alma A. Garrett, 60, Summerfield, will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Summerfield Methodist Church by Rev. Earl Leighley and Rev. W. E. Peters and burial in Eastern Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour at the church.
Mrs. Garrett died early Thursday morning at a Cambridge hospital following a long illness.
Born in Tyler County, W.Va., Oct. 22, 1901, she was the daughter of Sherman and Elizabeth Hood Lumbatis and was a member of the Summerfield Methodist Church and its WSCS. On Sept. 16, 1927 she married Wilfred Garrett, a rural mail carrier, who survives.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Garrett leaves a son, Dale of Caldwell; a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Schell* of Canton; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Denbow of Kerrville, Texas and Mrs. Amy Hupp of Marietta. Two brothers are deceased.
The body was removed to the Brubach Funeral Home and was taken to the family home at noon Friday where friends may call.
