Obituary, Valley News Dispatch, November 17, 2004 Roy T. Brown, Jr., 55, of Verona died unexpectedly at 8 a.m. Monday (Nov. 15, 2004) in his home. He was born Sept. 29, 1949 in Pittsburgh. Mr. Brown was a 1968 graduate of Burrell High School. He was a self-employed contractor with Brown Construction until 1997. Mr. Brown attended St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Tarentum. He enjoyed long drives with his family, camping, traveling in his motor home, gardening and football. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Nancy Lynn Kuzma Brown, two sons, Brian (Stacey) and Jeffrey S. Brown, both of Philadelphia, two daughters Sarah J. and Kimber-Lee Brown, both at home, four grandchildren, his mother, Myrtle "Chickie" Brown of Lower Burrell, four sisters, Charlene Brown and Nancy Domanski, both of Lower Burrell, Dotty (Thomas) Roddy of Leechburg and Shirley Betush of New Kensington. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Josephine Kuzma sister-in-laws Barbara (Bob) Gutknecht and Janet Kuzma, 10 nieces and nephews, a great-nephew, and a great-niece. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy T. Brown, Sr. Friends and family may call from 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Burket-Truby Funeral Home, Inc., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont. Divine Liturgy will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church with the Rev. Wesley Mash officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Lower Burrell.
