Carl Ernest Fiock Jr. Updated: Wednesday, May 26, 2004 1:04 PM PDT Carl Ernest Fiock Jr., 91-year-old Siskiyou County native, passed away on May 25, 2004, at Beverly Manor in Yreka. Carl was born on March 1, 1913 in Montague to Carl and Katherine Fiock. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.Carl was a rancher owning and operating his ranch for over 30 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Yreka.In September of 1983 he married Lorraine May Hurd and the couple have made their home in Yreka for many years. Carl is survived by his wife, Lorraine; two sisters, Faith Pruitt of Maryland and Selma Davis of Reedsport, Ore.; two brothers, Web Fiock of Yreka and Charles Fiock of Ashland, Ore.; three step-daughters, Emma Schambach of Red Bluff, Judy Sims of Porterville and Helen Fazio of Mount Shasta; 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Fiock and sister, Mary Simmons.At Carl's request no services are planned. Inurnment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Dept. of California, 13723 E. Rosecrans Ave., Sante Fe Springs, CA 90670.
