Fannie E. Kilburn, 84, of the Monroe County Care Center, Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio.
She was born near Stafford, Ohio on October 5, 1926 a daughter of the late George and Olive Hughes Fogle.
She was a homemaker and a former Green Thumb worker in Woodsfield, Ohio for various businesses in the village. She was a former clerk at the former Hunnell?s Grocery Store and former Morris Market in Woodsfield, Ohio. Fannie was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Woodsfield, Ohio; a member of the Pythian Sisters, and the Center Grange. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and watching baseball on T.V.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde W. Kilburn; a daughter, Mary Ann Kilburn; two sisters, Mary Lafferre and Esther Fogle; two brothers, John and Earl Fogle.
Surviving are one daughter, Susan Adams of Fleming, Ohio; one sister, Martha Musser of Carrollton, Ohio; one grandson, Kevin Francis and his fiancé Amy (Jane) McCracken of Reno, Ohio; three step great grandchildren, Kyle Greathouse, Kamryn Morrison, and Taylor McCracken; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor David Hull-Frye officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.
