Robert D. Lumbatis, 82, Urbana, formerly of Millerstown, died Oct. 30, 2006, in McAuley Center. He was born in Lewisville, on June 1, 1924, the son of the late George and Ollie Pearl Feiock Lumbatis. He was a 1942 graduate of Lewisville High School, Lewisville and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Paris. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WW II then transferred to the Air Force from which he retired. He also retired in 1984 from Siemen's of Urbana.

Robert D. Lumbatis, 82, Urbana, formerly of Millerstown, died Oct. 30, 2006, in McAuley Center. He was born in Lewisville, on June 1, 1924, the son of the late George and Ollie Pearl Fieock Lumbatis. Surviving are two sons, Wayne (Debra) Lumbatis of Conover, Mark (Cynthia) Lumbatis of Conover; four daughters, Mickie (Jerry) Nuckles of Marysville, Kathleen (Howard) Doak of Ravenna, Marilyn (John) Edwards of Mechanicsburg, Karen Barnett of Springfield; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother Steve Lumabtis of Nashport.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife whom he married Feb. 5, 1951, Helen H. Weisent, who died June 23, 2001; brother, George Lumbatis; and a sister, Leola Stubbs.
Friends will be received Nov. 2, from 5-8 p.m. in the Atkins-Shivley Funeral Home, Saint Paris, and from 9:30-10:15 a.m. in the funeral home on Nov. 3 before the Mass of Christian Burial on Nov. 3, at 10:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Paris with Father Gregory J. Konerman presiding. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Conover. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, Miami Valley Chapter, 3797 Summit Glen Drive, Ste.100, Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH 45449.
