  [S927] Obituary. Alpha E. Lumbatis WOODSFIELD ? Alpha Elizabeth Bowden Lumbatis, 95, of Woodsfield (formerly of Lewisville) died Tuesday (March 13, 2007) at the Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 13, 1911, in Adamsville, Muskingum County, a daughter of the late Levi David Bowden and Marian E. Kelly Bowden.She found her savior at an early age and served him for 72 years, including teaching Sunday school for many years. She was a member of the Woodsfield First Baptist Church, and North Hills Baptist Church, Marietta, Ohio.She married Rolland H. Lumbatis on Feb. 17, 1934, and they were married for over 50 years. He preceded her in death in February of 1984. She was also preceded in death by one infant brother; one infant sister; two sisters, Ruth Lumbatis, and Bernice Eccles; one brother, Harold Bowden; and one daughter-in-law, Geraldine Lumbatis.She is survived by two sons, Larry (Linda) Lumbatis of Woodsfield, and Dennis (Marlene) Lumbatis of Marietta; one daughter, Janice (Orlan) Emery of Overland Park, Kans.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday with Anthony McSword officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery Lewisville, Ohio.
