ESTELLA IONA KOCHERT BENNETT, 92, of Fairmont Road, died at 10:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 1998, at City Hospital following a sudden illness.
she was born in Graysville, Ohio, Feb. 7, 1906, a daughter of the late William and Berth Parks Kochert.
An area resident most of her life, she was a member of the Virginia Avenue Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Bennett, Sr., who died March 30, 1968; a son, Robert J. Bennett Jr., who died May 5, 1990; two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by seven daughters, Virginia Shroades, Jean Logston, Edna Reed and Shirley Mumaw of Chester, Dorothy Roach of Lawrenceville, Mary Holcomb of North Benton, Ohio, and Phyllis Kuhns of Buffalo, N. Y.; two sons, Joseph F. Bennett of Chester and Harold B. Bennett of Ashville, N. C.; 23 grandchildren, and 48 great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
Services were conducted Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Higginbotham officiating. Burial was in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens.
