He was born near Lewisville, a son of Fred and Anna Claus Christman. He was a member of the Lewisville United Church of Christ, retired from Landmark Feed and Supply and was a farmer. Surviving are a son, Richard Christman and his wife, Linda, Barnesville; daughter, Mrs. Danny (Kay) Watson, Barnesville; brother, Irvin Christman and his wife, Viola, of El Paso, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Mary Eva Christman, Columbus, Zelda Betts, Lewisville; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; cousins; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Christman; two sons, Ralph Donald Christman, Charles Frederick Christman; daughter, Wanda Lee Cain; brother, Alva Christman. Friends were received Jan. 24 at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, Barnesville, where services were held Jan.25, with Rev. Gene Miller and Rev. Frank Ledvinka officiating.
