  [S927] Obituary. WOODSFIELD ? Hilda M. Burkhart, 74, of Woodsfield, died Wednesday (Feb. 7, 2001) at Bishop Joseph H. Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling, W.Va. She was born June 5, 1926, near Miltonsburg, daughter of the late Clemence and Victoria (Carpenter) Butler. Mrs. Burkhart was a homemaker and a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, where she was a member of the Purgatorial Society and the Catholic Women?s Club. She was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Ladies Auxiliary of Woodsfield. She leaves her husband, Herman J. Burkhart, whom she married June 8, 1943; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Marlene) Yonak Jr. of Centerville; three sons, Donald (Marlene) Burkhart of Malaga, Gary (Victoria) Burkhart of Woodsfield and Terry (Carol) Burkhart of Raleigh Durham, N.C.; a brother, Vernon (Cinderella) Butler of Woodsfield; a sister, Mrs. Glenn (Hazel) Kanzigg of Beallsville; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield. Vigil services will be 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Hamm serving as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Sylvester Catholic Cemetery, Woodsfield.
