Marie P. Miller, 89, of Barnesville, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, at the Barnesville Health Care Center.
She was born Jan. 2, 1919, in Somerset Township to Rose (Hughes) and Anthony J. Burkhart.
Surviving are two sons, Charles (Connie) Miller, of Wapakoneta, Edward (Deborah) Miller, of Jerusalem, Thomas (Kathleen) Miller, of Boston, and Dennis (Nancy) Miller, of Woodsfield; daughters, Martha (Robert) Stephen, of Jerusalem, and Carol (Don) Carpenter, of Temperanceville; a brother, Herman Burkhart, of Woodsfield; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Miller on Sept. 13, 1969; two brothers, Charles and Fred Burkhart; and two sisters, Clara Miller, and Margaret Nau.
She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, in Temperanceville.
Visitation is scheduled for 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Marys Catholic Church, in Temperanceville with the Rev. Mark Froelich officiating.
Burial is to follow in St. Marys Cemetery. A vigil service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
