Burkhart, Margaret Mary BurkhartTimes Leader, Martins Ferry, Ohio, dated, March 24, 2006CALDWELL - Margaret Mary Burkhart (Nau), 91, of Belford St., Caldwell, died at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, surrounded by her family. She was admitted on St. Patrick?s Day with pneumonia, and due to her advanced age, did not respond to medications.Margaret always stated she was born on March 5, 1915, at home inTemperanceville. However, when she applied for Social Security, shediscovered they had her birth date as Feb. 5. Margaret was the second of six children born to Anthony and Rose E. Hughes Burkhart. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. As a young adult, Margaret worked at Mount Dechaneu Academy in Wheeling, W.Va.Margaret is survived by her husband, Andrew George Nau, with whom she celebrated her 66th wedding anniversary on Sept. 19, 2005; two sons, Herman (Betty) Nau of Caldwell and Carl (Bonnie) Nau of Marietta; a son-in-law, Gary Braddock of Mount Vernon; a brother, Herman Burkhart of Woodsfield; a sister, Marie Burkhart Miller of Temperanceville; a sister-in-law, Helen Nau Miller; six grandchildren, Joyce (Ray) Rhodes, Shelia (Bryan) Rhodes,Mike (Brandi) Nau, Netti (David) Halsey, Renee (Mike) Hupp and Phil Braddock; and 10 great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all her extended family.In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by a toddler son, Harry E. Nau, who died Aug. 8, 1949, of cystic fibrosis; a daughter, Theresa M. Nau Braddock, who died Sept. 15, 2005; two brothers, Charles H. and Frederick L. Burkhart; and a sister, Clara C. Burkhart Miller.Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 24, at the McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, with Scripture services at 8 p.m.Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday,March 25, 2006, at St. Stephen Catholic Church with Father Dale Tornes and Father Samuel Saprano officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday, March 24, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home in Caldwell, where vigil services will be held at 8PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 25, 2006, at 10:30 AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell, with the Rev. Frs. Dale Tornes and Samuel Saprano, concelebrants. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Caldwell.
