Obituary, The Barnesville Enterprise, June 1, 1994, P. 2, Column 2, Section 1: Clara Miller - Clara C. Miller, 83, Barnesville, died Tuesday, May 24, 1994 at Barnesville Health Care Center. She was born July 9, 1910 in Temperanceville, daughter of the late Anothony and Rose Hughes Burkhart. She was a member of the Church of Assumption, the Catholic Women?s Club, and the Alter Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence M. Miller; one son, George; a brother, Charles Burkhart; and three grandchildren. Surviving are four sons; Vernon of Wickliff, Robert of New Castle, Thomas of Eastlake, and Fred of Barnesville; three daughters, Mrs. James (Evelyn) Cook of Barnesville, Mrs. Lowell (Mary Ann) Baker of Beallsville, and Mrs. Lawrence (Rita) Griffith of Woodsfield; two brothers, Herman Burkhart of Woodsfield and Fred Burkhart of Wickliff; two sisters, Marie Miller of Boston and Mrs. Andrew (Margaret) Nau of Caldwell; 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday morning at the Church of the Assumption, Barnesville, with the Rev. Charles Mascolino, the celebrant. Burial followed in the Assumption Cemetery, Barnesville. Rosary devotions and Christian wake services were Thursday.
