Regina M. Burkhart Dutro, 76
ZANESVILLE - Regina M. Burkhart Dutro, 76, of Zanesville, died at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born Wednesday, March 4, 1931, in Zanesville, the daughter of Nicholas and Ida Emma (Nau) Burkhart. She married Paul J. Dutro on Saturday, Oct. 4, 1958, and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Regina was employed in the banking industry and enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, sewing, traveling and high school sports, especially Rosecrans.
Regina is survived by her husband of the home; two daughters, Lynne (Nolan) Foltz of Hawaii and Marsha (John) Harris of Zanesville; a son, Brian (Tammy) Dutro of Columbus; three grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren and Ethan Harris; two sisters, Mary DeVol of Columbus and Sr. Mary Melinda Burkhart, O.P. of Columbus; one brother, Leo "Burkie" (Ann) Burkhart of Zanesville; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Hillis and Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave., with the vigil service at 7:45 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with a Dominican Father as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Morrison House Hospice, in Regina's name.
