Obituary for Paul C. Christman
Paul C. Christman, age 94 of Cambridge, OH passed away Thursday December 2, 2010 at The Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. He was born August 7, 1916 in Lewisville, OH (Seneca Twp.). He was a teacher for 20 yrs. Retired from The Cambridge Post Office. A 50 plus year member of The Unity Presbyterian Church. Served as a Decon and Elder of the church. WWII Army Veteran. Life member of: D.A.V., NARFE, American Legion, OhioRetired Teachers,. Member of the Veterans Council. former Board member of The Salvation Army. Paul received The Veteran of The Year Award 2009.
Mr. Christman is preceded in death by his parents, George L. Christman and Magdalena (Matz) Christman; Four sisters: Esther, Gertude, Alma, and Laura and Two brothers, Clarence and Arthur.
Paul is survived by his wife Marie I. Beardmore Christman of the home whom he married June 21, 1944 (66 years of marriage).
Two daughters, Linda S. Christman of Marietta, OH and Diana J. (John) Sirb of Amhurst, OH. Two sons, Leslie P. Christman of Marysville, OH and Bryan C. (JoAnn) Christman of Shaker Hts., OH. One sister Beryl Claus of Caldwell, OH. Eights grandchildren: Ann-Marie Christman, Alicia (Joesph) Poelzer, Abigail Christman, Rebecca Christman, Nathaniel Christman, Colleen Sirb, Cassandra Sirb, and Kimberly Sirb; and several Nieces and Nephews.
Friends may call Monday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8pm at Bundy-Law Funeral Home and from10 till 11 am Tuesday at The Unity Presbyterian Church, 130 N. 7th Street, Cambridge, Oh 43725. The Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday at the church with Rev. Jim Spain officiating and burial will be in Northwwod Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by The Guernsey County Veterans Council.
