Claus, 90, of Route 2, Lewisville, Ohio, died March 21, 1995 at the Woodsfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born September 6, 1904 in Monroe County, Ohio, a son of the late Fred Claus and Caroline Haffner Claus.He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Lewisville and a member of the Trinity Men?s Brotherhood.Surviving are one son, Alvin Claus, Wooster, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Roscoe (Virginia) Wilhelm, Lewisville and Mrs. William (Vivian) Paulus, Woodsfield; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Christman Claus, April 28, 1994, also three sisters and five brothers.Friends were received March 24 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, where services were held March 25 with the Reverend Richard Wilson officiating. Interment in the St. John?s Cemetery (Middle Church), near Lewisville.
