Faber, Mrs. Mary Faber (nee--Matz) Source--Newsclipping Faber, Mrs. Mary (Matz), 69, wife of Amiel Faber of Lewisville died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Radon, Lewisville, Thursday morning, August 25 following an illness. Short funeral services were held at the family home followed by final rites at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church (Middle Church) Sunday afternoon with Reverend Elmer A. Gradwohl of St Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church in Woodsfield officiating. Interment was made in Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield by the Gardner Funeral Home of Stafford. Mrs. Faber was born near Lewisville on June 19, 1860, one of a family of twelve children of Ludwig and Christina Meckling Matz. She spent most of her life near Lewisville, living in Woodsfield only a few years. She became a member of Middle Church by the rites of confirmation in her youth and remained a faithful member all her life. On December 24, 1905 she was united in marriage to Amiel Faber and he and the following children survive; Mrs. George (Edith) Radon and Mrs. Arthur (Lucille) Reischman, both of Lewisville, Clyde of Massillon and Mrs. Robert (Martha) Falls of North Lawrence and Paul Faber of the home and nine grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Lena and Mrs. Rachel Christman and Mrs. Elizabeth Hines, all of Lewisville, Mrs. Amelia Neuhart of Woodsfield and Mrs. Elma Legg of Massillon and two brothers, Attorney L.E. Matz and William Matz, both of Woodsfield. One son, Harold; one sister, Mrs Leibfarth and three brothers, Phillip, Chris and Herman preceded her in death.
