He was born October 25, 1917, in Massillon, the son of Crist and Margaret (Jackson) Fals, and graduated from Washington High School there in 1935.
He worked with the Civil Conservation Corps during the 1930s. His duty with the Army Air Corps during World War II led him to service in the South Pacific, including Australia and New Guinea. He retired from Republic/LTV Steel Co. in 1969, but stayed active with his hobbies of gardening, woodworking and enjoying antique vehicles.
On June 2, 1945, he married Martha Marie Faber, who preceded him in death in 1986.
His family includes three children, daughter, Mary (Thomas) Spencer, and sons, Dale and Robert.
Bob was a family man, who enjoyed sharing his time and talents with others. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, who will remember the many kindnesses and favors he gladly and unselfishly rendered, always welcoming the opportunity to add in some way to the richness of the lives of others.
Bob is also survived by two sisters, Mary Nesbitt of Cuyahoga Falls and Isabelle Greenfelder of North Lawrence.
