Charles Ignatius Zwick [Parents ] 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 was born on 4 Oct 1890 in Franklin, Monroe Co., OH. He died on 3 Sep 1980 in Summerfield, Noble Co., OH. He was buried in St. Joseph Cemetery, Burkhart, Monroe Co., OH. He married 6 , 7 Gertrude Celia Crock on 7 Oct 1914 in St. Mary, Fulda, Noble Co., OH.
In 1930, Charles (29) and Gertrude (25) Zwick owned a mortgaged farm in Seneca Twp., Monroe Co., Ohio. They lived there with their children Ella (3 yrs 8 mos.), Carl (1 yr, 9 mos.) and Edna (9 mos.). Adjacent farms in the census belonged to Joseph Yontz and Henry W. Smithberger. (Henry's daughter Irene would later marry Charles' nephew Frank Zwick.)

Charles I. Zwick Sr., 89, of Summerfield Route 1, died at noon Sept. 3,at his home following an apparent heart attack.He was born Oct. 4, 1890 in Monroe County, a son of the late George andBarbara Hupp Zwick.The last survivor of a family of fourteen children, Mr. Zwick lived inthe Lewisville community before moving to his home in the Summerfieldarea.A retired farmer and state highway department worker, he was a memberof St. Michael's Catholic Church at Carlisle and its Holy Name Society.Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Nelson C. (Ella) Smithberger, ofLewisville; Mrs. Clyde (Edna) Bjorkman, of Salem, Ohio; Mrs. Norbert(Mary) Kress, of Alliance, and Mrs. Earl (Gertrude) Sorg, of Gratiot; twosons, Carl A. of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Charles, Jr., with whom he madehis home; 32 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. His wife, GertrudeCrock Zwick, died in 1931. A grandson, John, is also deceased.Friends were received at the Brubach Funeral Home at Summerfield wherethe Rosary was recited on Friday evening.Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday at 10 a. m. at St. Michael'sCatholic Church, Carlisle, with Rev. Walter E. Heinz officiating. Burialwas in St. Joseph's Cemetery at Burkhart.

Charles I. Zwick Sr., 89, of Summerfield Route 1, died at noon Sept. 3,
at his home following an apparent heart attack.
He was born Oct. 4, 1890 in Monroe County, a son of the late George and
Barbara Hupp Zwick.
