Anna Burkhart
The death of Anna Burkhart, well know Temperanceville woman, occurred at her home on Monday (Oct 16, 1941) following several months of failing health. Deceased, a daughter of John William Burkhart and Mary McLaughlin Burkhart, was born January 28, 1889, at Temperanceville, where she lived the most of her life. For seven years she was employed at the Mt. de Chantel academy in Wheeling, but was forced to retire several months ago on account of ill health.Miss Burkhart is survived by two brothers and two sisters: Nicholas Burkhart, Zanesville: Anthony J. Burkhart, Mrs. Mary Gallagher, Temperanceville, Miss Katherine Burkhart, Mt. de Chantel, Wheeling.The body in charge of Foglesong funeral directors, Barnesville, after preparation for burial, was moved back to the home. Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock funeral service was conducted by Father Heilman in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Temperanceville, and interment was made in Beaver Cemetery.
