Bauman Memorial Photos Flowers Edit Share Learn about upgrading this memorial... Birth: 1854 Death: Oct. 25, 1900 Obituary - Chas. F. Bauman The East Liverpool Tribune Chas. F. Bauman, Aged 46 years, died at his home, corner of Second and Union streets, at 7:45 o'clock, Thursday morning (Oct. 25, 1900) after several weeks' illness. A wife, two sisters, two brothers and three children survive. Deceased was born at Lewisville, Ohio, and came to this city ten years ago, engaging in business. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Sunday morning at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. Reinhartz. Interment will be made in Riverview cemetery. Mr. Bauman was a member of the I.O.O.F. and St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church, and was a gentleman whom it was a pleasure to know. He was possessed of a genial disposition, was affable and courteous under all circumstances. He was of robust form, and until early this summer was seemingly enjoying perfect health, when he was attacked with kidney trouble, which made a most violent attack, and quickly made such inroads as to become most alarming. He went to Pittsburg hospital for treatment a few weeks ago, but nothing could be done to arrest the insidious attack, and he came home to his wife and family to spend the few remaining days he had to live with them. No husband could have been more loyal and loving to his wife; no father could have been more kind to his children. The death of Mr. Bauman - while only in the middle of average allotted life, and the desolation that has entered this happy home - is deplorable. It was our privilege to know Mr. Bauman quite personally, and we discovered that he had a big heart, and was a man of strictest honor in all avenues, ever ready to do a kind set. He was good to the motherless, and made his fireside the home of the homeless, and it is hoped that sympathy and consolation may be extended in a like warm manner to those he has left behind.
