Bio: Southeast Section next to Anthony & RosaObituary and funeral notice from the Garrett Clipper - September 23 and 26, 1929Death came without warning to MATHIAS SHOUDEL, a well known Jackson township farmer, at the Dr Bonnell Souder hospital in Auburn Saturday morning at 7 o'clock. Mr Shoudel had been a patient at the hospital since Monday for observation and possibly an operation. Four or five years ago he had a sarcoma growth removed from his side but this did not give permanent relief and it was believed that it had entered into the liver. The immediate cause of his death, however, was heart trouble. He asked for a drink of water about 7 o'clock Saturday morning and after raising up to drink, he fell back on the bed dead. Due to the suddenness of his death no member of the family was at his bedside. The deceased was 72 years of age and is survived by the widow, two sons, Anthony, who lives near the home place in Jackson township and Charles of Garrett. A brother, John Shoudel lives at 316 West Twentieth street, Auburn, a half brother, Mike Shoudel resides in Jackson township and a full sister, Mrs Lena Wetosky at Summit in the north part of DeKalb county. The funeral services will be held Tuesday morning.MATHIAS SHOUDEL BURIED IN AUBURN CEMETERYThe funeral of the late MATHIAS SHOUDEL of Jackson township, whose death took place at the Dr Bonnell Souder hospital in Auburn Saturday, was held at the home Tuesday morning.
