The Rev. Joe Alexander will conduct the services. Mrs.Ardoin, a resident of Eunice, died Monday, January 8, 2001, in Senior VillageNursing Home in Opelousas. She was a homemaker and a member of St. AnthonyCatholic Church. Mrs. Ardoin served within the church as a lector, aEucharistic Minister, hospital ministry, shut-in ministry, she belonged tothe church choir, started the OMEGA Group, the Martha Group and the Day ofAdoration. She worked with taking the church census. Mrs. Ardoin was thesecond lady to serve on the church Parish Council. She also read the readingsfor every funeral for 2 1/2 years and worked with the Day of Adoration once aweek ending with Scripture readings, songs and benediction. Mrs. Ardoinserved on the Parish Council as Head of the Parish Life Commission. Survivorsinclude: a daughter, Mrs. Mona Vizinat of Opelousas; a son-in-law, JeffVizinat of Opelousas; and a daughter-in-law, Genny Ardoin of Lafayette. Sheis also survived by her three grandchildren, Stephen Vizinat and wife Dianeof Opelousas, Paula V. Feucht and her husband Patrick of Opelousas and LisaV. Ousse and her husband Jim of Lafayette; and ten great-grandchildren. Mrs.Ardoin was preceded in death by her husband, Edovic Ardoin; and a son, DavidArdoin. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Rightto Life Committee. Visiting hours will be observed from 3:30 to 9 p.m. todayand from 8 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at6:30 p.m. Ardoin's Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
