Obituary (from Betty Hartley; exact source unknown): Mrs. Catherine Burkhart , aged 83 years, passed away at her home on East Marietta Street, abvout 8:30 o'clock Friday morning, following an extedned illness. She was the widow of Charles Burkhart who died in 1929.Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Freda Bracy of the home; Dr. Raymond Burkhart of Woodsfield; Dr. Walter Burkhart of Athens, GA; Clyde Burkhart of Somerset, Ohio; Mrs. Ray Foraker of Gary, Indiana; and Mrs. W. H. Wilkinson of Jacksonville, Florida. One sister, Charlotte Long of the home also survives together with many more dis-tant relatives. Mrs. Burkhrt was a member of St.Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church and a charter member of the Senior Guild of that church. She has scores of friends by whom she will be sadly missed.Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the late home in charge of her pastor, Rev. John H. Hose and burial was made in Oaklawn Cemetery.
