WEGMAN, DOMINICUS CHARLES - Dominicus Charles Wegman, 82, of Ft. Myers, FL, died Wednesday, October 18, 2000 in Ft. Myers. Charles was born October 25, 1917 in NY, NY, the son of Genevieve Schreiner and Dominicus Charles Wegman. He was a veteran of World War II, and served as Commanding Officer in a medical detachment of a 750 bed hospital in England. His last position with the Army was Commanding Officer of the 777 Ordinance Battalion of the 77th Reserve Division in New York, and retired from the reserves as Lt. Colonel in 1977. Mr. Wegman was a Vice President at Seaman?s Bank for Savings in New York and retired in 1982, after 35 years of service. Charles was active in the Larchmont Yacht Club, Larchmont, NY, and the Whiskey Creek Boat Club. He is survived by his wife, Connie Wegman, Ft. Myers, FL; two daughters, Laura (Tom) Davis, North Augusta, SC, Barbara (Ted) Pilcher, Mamaroneck, NY; four grandchildren, Bethany and Lauren Davis, and Jessica and Anne Pilcher. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 21, 2000 from 1-2 pm with funeral service at 2 pm at the Harvey-Engelhardt Chapel, with Reverend Dahl Seckinger of Covenant Presbyterian Church officiating. Entombment will be in New York at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lee Memorial Health System Foundation, for the ICU and ER units, PO Box 2218, Ft.
