Ida Winckler was born on November 24, 1915 to Jacob and Fredericka (Kaul) Stoebner in Bon Homme County, South Dakota. She was confirmed on June 22, 1930 by Rev. Krieger. Ida was married to Phillip Winckler on December 17, 1935 by Rev. Zogg. They farmed 12 miles northwest of Tyndall until they moved into Tyndall in 1986. She enjoyed working on scrap books and researching her family tree. Ida died on Thursday, May 2, 2002 at the Tyndall Good Samaritan Center at the age of 86 years.
Ida?s memory will be cherished by her husband, Phillip, Tyndall; three children, Alton and wife, Delores Winckler, Avon, South Dakota, Goldie Winckler, Tyndall, and Rosaline and husband, Richard Wootton, Yankton, South Dakota; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edna Herr, Tripp, South Dakota.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents, her son, one brother and one sister.
God saw she was getting tired And a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around her And whispered, ?Come with Me.? With tearful eyes we watched her suffer And saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, We could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
