Mrs. Louisa Quick, a former Middletown resident, died Saturday morning in the Smith Nursing Home after a long illness.
At the time of her death, Mrs Quick's residence was in Roscoe. She had at one time operated a boarding house there. Prior to that she lived in Middletown for many years. She was born in Obernburg, daughter of M & M John Breiner. She was a member of the Gate of Heaven Catholic Church in Roscoe.
Survivors were two sisters, Mrs Rose Swope and Mrs Julia A Nolan, both of Middletown; a daughter, Mrs Marie Gommenginger of Middletown; 2 sons - John A of West Haven, CT and Thomas E Quick of Roscoe; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 10 a. m. Tuesday in the Gate of Heaven Church followed by interment. Mrs Quick was the daughter of Obernburg pioneers and was born in a log cabin on the farm now owned by M M Herman Stabbert on Sept 19 1868.
