Mr. Deis was born in Glen Ullin, N.D., March 27, 1907, and was married to Miss Barbara Burger in Fallan, N.D., Jan. 15, 1929. They moved to Laurel in 1943 where he was a foreman with the Northern Pacific Railway. lie was secretary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Laurel for 10 years and a mem ber ot bt. Anthony's parish. He is survived by his widow; three sons, Thomas Deis of Laurel, Richard Deis of Billings and Francis Deis, stationed in California; two daughters, Sister Barbara of the Sisters of tnanty m Leavenworth. Kan and Mrs. George Metzger of Laurel; a brother, Joe Deis of Aiandan, N.D.; three sisters Mrs. Emma Brown of La Jnlla Calif., Mrs. Carolyn Taylor of Minneapolis. Minn., and Mr Tina Krunk of Westfield, N.J., unu seven grandchildren. Laurel Funeral Home is charge of arrangements. In
