Obituary
MARJORIE L. BURKHART
Marjorie L. Burkhart, 86, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away on August 29, 2019 at Park Health Care. Born May 25, 1933 in West Wheeling, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mildred Coss McClelland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Burkhart in 1976; sister, Gerry McClelland Zink; brothers, Don and Kirk McClelland; and son-in-law, Dennis Bailey
Treasuring the precious memory of Marjorie are those who survive; daughter, Beth Bailey (Tom Smith) of Bethesda; son, Ron Burkhart of Bethesda; grandchildren, Melanie (Glen) Vargo, Trevor (Caitlyn) Burkhart, Mindy (Chance) Nicholes; and great-grandchildren, Paige, Jaelyn, and Bailey.
A 1951 graduate of Bridgeport High School, she shared her love for children, as a House Mother at Belmont County Children?s Home. She was a private child caregiver for many years in her own home, showing each and every child they were special and always loved beyond measure. Marjorie?s love for her children, Beth and Ron, was exuberating. She always put their needs before her own, teaching them strong family values. She nurtured them with warmth, gentleness, understanding, and patience. Her love was unconditional and was never underrated or questioned. It was simply the purest love on earth. All children, in Marjorie?s eyes, were a true gift from God.
A very humble woman, Marjorie?s wishes will be honored with services taking place privately, at the convenience of her family.
