He was united in marriage to Miss Katherine Wastian on December 23, 1912, at Holy Redeemer church, Madison. They moved to their present farm, north of this village about 23 years ago.Mr. Schwoegler was a member of the Holy Name society of St. John's church.Survivors include his wife, three sons, Raymond funeral director at Sauk City; Joseph, Waunakee; Philip, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Robert Maney, Lodi; Mrs. Robert Mabie, Racine; Mrs. Richard Field, Portage; Doris Ann, at home; two brothers, Peter and Richard Schwoegler, Madison; one sister, Mrs. Werner Ripp, Waunakee; and four grandchildren.The Holy Nmae Society and friends held a vigil at the funeral parlors Friday evening. Rev. Joseph Biers and a group of K.C.'s from Sauk City also held a vigil Friday evening.Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9:30 from the Kuestner funeral home and at 10 in St. John's Catholic church. The Solemn Requiem High Mass was sung by Rev. N. B. Schneider with Rev. B. J. Reddington as sub-deacon. Burial was in the church cemetery.Pallbearers Albert Ripp, Donald Schwoegler, Ewald Reuter, Leonard Schwoegler, Albert Derra and Robert Wastian.appeared in the local newspaper "The Waunakee Tribune"on 8 February 1951.
