Bio: HANNA, EILEEN A. Eileen A. Hanna of New City passed away peacefully October 31, 2005 at home with her family by her side. She was 77. Eileen was born February 20, 1927 in Union City, NJ to James A. and Anna V. (McCarthy) York. She married the love of her life Robert J. Hanna on September 22, 1956 at Holy Family Church in Union City, NJ. Eileen has been a Rockland resident for 46 years, prior to that in Woodbridge, NJ. Eileen enjoyed cooking and baking, but her greatest love came from her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and will be remembered as a true matriarch to her family. Eileen is survived by her husband Robert J. Hanna of New City, three children Robert M. Hanna and his wife Regina of Madison, NJ, Kevin J. Hanna and his wife Lisa of Flemington NJ, Eileen P. Hanna of Mahwah, NJ, three grandchildren, Matthew, Colleen and James, one brother Edward York of Commack, NY, two sisters Anne Hanna of Toms River, NJ, Mary Jane Olden of Rochelle Park, NJ, and many loving nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday and Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main Street, New City, NY 10956. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, 11:15 AM at St. Augustine's Church in New City, NY. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet, NY.
