Arthur Roger Worthington, 68 of Sterling, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at Sterling Pavilion Nursing Home.Arthur was born Feb. 22, 1948, in Rochelle, the son of William and Anna Worthington. He was a graduate of Prophetstown High School. He worked at Lawrence Brothers for more than 30 years. Arthur married Agnes Ann Aldrich on June 20, 1970, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling. She preceded him in death on June 23, 2016. Arthur was a faithful member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls, a member of Knight of Columbus Council 11874 Rock Falls, and a 4th-Degree Knight of Columbus Father Boland Assembly 1702. He enjoyed long walks, bike rides and nature.Survivors include his daughter, Alice (Kevin) Miller of Rock Falls; his son, Patrick Worthington of Sterling; two sisters, Sharon Davis of San Antonio and Barbara (John) Gray of Chillicothe; one brother, Robert Worthington of Aurora; one grandson, Larry Miller; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.He also was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Chaney and Coralee Worthington; and one brother, William ?Billy? Worthington.Visitation will be from 9:15 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the rosary recited at 9 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Richard Russo, pastor and celebrant, officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.
