  [S927] Obituary. TROY - Richard L. "Dick" Shrake, 80, of Troy, passed away at 5:26 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2009, at Covington Care Center, Covington. He was born Nov. 30, 1928, in Massillon, to the late Robert G. and Elizabeth (Straughn) Shrake. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia (Vosper) Shrake; two sons, Dr. Guy and Susan Shrake of West Chester and Doug and Joanne Shrake of Westerville; daughter, Beth Shrake of Troy; five grandchildren, Collin, Kaitlyn, Laura, Jessica and Christian Shrake; and cousins, Tom Straughn, Jack Straughn, Susan Sandefur and Linda Wise, all of the Greater Massillon area. Dick graduated from Massillon High School and attended Dickinson College and Washington-Jefferson College in Pennsylvania. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy, and served in Korea in the U.S. Army. Dick was a salesman in the steel industry for most of his career. In later years, he worked at the Erwin Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge Dealership. There will be a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2009, at Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Visitation will be from 4-6:30 p.m. Friday prior to the memorial service. A private interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. [S926] Find-A-Grave, (www.findagrave.com).
