Wildemuth, 90, of Geneseo, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019, at his residence. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory ? Geneseo Chapel. Deacon Harley Chaffee will celebrate. Burial will follow at North Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 4 ? 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Ivan Wildemuth Memorial Fund. Ivan was born on July 3, 1928 in Loraine Township, Henry County, IL. He was the son of Glenn and Grace (Egert) Wildemuth. He married Louise Paulsen on February 19, 1949 at St. Malachy Catholic Church, Geneseo. Ivan and Louise celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in 2019. He farmed his entire life - first with mules and later with tractors - in Geneseo. He was a lifelong member of the Antique Tractor and Engine Show in Atkinson. He enjoyed farming, working outdoors, antique tractors, reading the newspaper, and watching westerns during the winter months. Ivan could fix anything. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Louise; daughter, Ninette (Keith) Carton, Atkinson; son, Keith (Susan) Wildemuth, Atkinson; grandchildren, Sara Carton, Jason (Amy) Carton, Brian (Nicole) Wildemuth; great-grandchildren, Audrina, Aria, and Madison; sister, Grace Loftus, Geneseo; brothers, Dale Wildemuth, Prophetstown, and Chet (Bonnie) Wildemuth, Blue Grass; and brother-in-law, Albert (Anne) Paulsen, Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his parents.
