Bio: Jane Anne (Mitchell) Robey, 84, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019, at her home surrounded by family. Jane was born in Evansville, Indiana on June 13, 1935, to Raymond and Mildred (Martz) Mitchell. She graduated from Bosse High School and retired from Citizens Bank in 1992 after 25 years of service. Jane previously worked at the telephone company as an operator. She was lifetime member of The Methodist Temple (formerly Bayard Park). Jane was an avid bowler, bowling since 1956 until the Monday before she passed away. Jane was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in 1998 and she loved spending time with her family and friends. Jane is survived by her daughters, Patti Corbett (Fred) of Newburgh, IN and Rebecca McBride (Mac) of Suffolk, VA; a daughter-in-law, Sue Robey of Boonville, IN; a brother, Donald G. Mitchell of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Jami Horn (Adam), Kati Wellemeyer (Kyle), Jessica Robey, Jacob Robey, Shaun Robey (Whitney), Brittney Stone (Kyle), Bridget Bridegam (Larry), Maci Jane McBride and Ian McBride; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Madi, Hunter, Easton, Brentley and Amelia; and one great-great granddaughter, Eleanor. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, James W. Robey, Jr. in 1999; sons, Mark and Jimmy both in 2017; a brother, Raymond J. Mitchell and her parents. A Celebration of Jane's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, with Pastor Andy Payton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, November 22, 2019, at Browning Funeral Home and again from 10:00 am until service time on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the funeral home.
