Elizabeth Geiger Elizabeth "Betty" Geiger, 73, 1206 Second St. N.E., Mandan, died April 20, 1993, at her home after a long illness. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Elizabeth Geiger enjoyed traveling and cooking. ti'v Hugo Blotsky officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon today at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a Catholic Daughters rosary will begin at 4 p.m. today. A Women of the Moose Ritual will begin at 7 tonight, followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary at 7:30 and a parish vigil at 8. Betty Schaaf was born Oct. 25, 1919, at Glen Ullin to Mathais and Florentina Schaaf. She was raised and educated in the Glen Ullin area. While working for the postmaster of Bismarck, she met and married John Geiger Nov. 9, 1943. They farmed in the Center area from 1943 until moving to Mandan in 1974. She was a devoted member of St. Martin's Church in Center, where she was a member of Altar Society, and St. Joseph's Church, Mandan. She was also a member of Women of the Moose and various card clubs. Over the years, she did vol- , unteer work for Golden Age of ; Mandan. She enjoyed world travel, ' cooking, dancing and playing cards ; with friends and family. She is survived by her husband, John; one son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Connie, Hazen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Doreen and Tim Bumb, Mandan, and Donna and Dave Schwab, Hazen; nine grandchildren, Sarah, Christopher, Amy, Kathy, Alecia, Laura, Nich-ole, Joshua and Andrea; three brothers, Ed, Spokane, Wash., Tony, Glen Ullin, and Ervin, Mor-ristown, S.D.; and two sisters, Clara Berger, Hebron, and Florence Berger, Richardton. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Anna Meier, Almont; and one brother, Joseph, Glen Ullin. Betty is loved and leaves a great . void in our lives.
