Edward Schaff Edward A. Schaff, 84, Spokane, Wash., formerly of Glen Ullin, passed away June 23, 2002, in Spokane. Services were held June 27 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Spokane. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane. Ed was born Nov. 14, 1917, in rural Glen Ullin, the son of Mathias and Florentina Schaaf. He lived in Spokane for the past 56 years. He retired from Fred Meyer after 33 years in the wholesale grocery business. Ed and his wife Madge retired to Seven Bays, Wash. Ed enjoyed working outdoors and took great pride in his manicured lawns. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church for 46 years, and a member of the Knights of Columbus for more than 50 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Madge Schaff, Spokane; one son, Father Tyrone Schaff, Spokane; one daughter, Sister Loretta Schaff, OSF, Portland, Ore.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony and Leona Schaaf, Glen Ullin, and Ervin and Marilyn Schaaf, Mor-ristown, S.D.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Clara and Jake Berger, Hebron, and Florence andjoe Berger, Richardton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
